Ever since moving to my new place a few weeks ago
I wanted to sit down and write something for this site,
but I didn’t.
The reason might be obvious, but it took me a while to figure it out.
I need a place to work.
Yes, sitting on the couch with my laptop is nice,
but I simply don’t get into the “working” mode (aka mindset).
So I will spend the next few days building a (simple) desk
where I can sit down and get some actual work done.
Note:
I travelled a lot via train during the last weeks
and I got quite a lot of work done on my sideprojects during that time,
but I just can’t get myself to prepare online work (e.g. articles for this site)
while being offline.
Due to my current job situation I have a little extra time on my hands.
That will come in really handy and I can use that to gain some momentum again.
Plan to have a desk by tonight, before I go to bed, so I might have a place to work by tomorrow.
Update:
Just finished the first raw version of my desk, including an improvised chair.
Not the final counter top yet, but that will have to wait until I have the other car.
Obviously I took the picture first
and will do the cleaning tomorrow.
(It’s 10pm and I don’t want to annoy the neighbours.)
